James and the Giant Peach Jr PRODUCTION VOLUNTEERS

Thank you for volunteering to help "behind the scenes" for James and the Giant Peach Jr. We request that you sign up for one or two slots at this time to ensure all our volunteers have an opportunity to sign up. We will use email to communicate to our volunteers. BACKSTAGE SUPERVISORS - Involves supervising cast members backstage during performances assisting with costume changes, making sure cast members clean up the dressing rooms before they leave and keeping them quiet when not on stage. We request you arrive when the cast is called (usually 1 hour before the show begins). USHER - Involves collecting and scanning tickets at the door using an iPad and handing out playbills. You will then get to see the show for free at that performance. Doors open 30 minutes before the show. We ask that you arrive no later than 1 hour before the show to check in with the House Manager. CLEAN UP CREW - This team stays at the end of the show to straighten chairs, sweep and help consolidate trash to be taken out. You will then get to see the show for free at that performance. You will be contacted by the House Manager prior to your volunteer time. BRAVO/CONCESSION TABLE - Volunteers for this manage the treats/toys at the back of the house that sells candy and trinkets that are placed in cast members "Bravo Bags" in addition to concessions. You will then get to see the show for free at that performance. Please arrive 45 minutes before the show begins to check in with the Coordinator. CAST PARTY PLANNERS - Two people to plan the cast party. LOAD IN/LOAD OUT CREW - You will be responsible for helping with a selection of items (costumes, props, set pieces, sound equipment etc...) from The Biz to the performance venue and at the end of the show's run you will be responsible for moving those items from the performance venue back to The Biz as per directions from the Load In/Load Out Coordinator. You will receive a comp ticket to the show for volunteering. HOUSE MANAGER - house managers are responsible for overseeing Ushers (arrive one hour before the show) and Clean Up Crew (need to plan on staying until clean up is finished). The lobby and seating area will be your main focus. You will need to monitor seating - making sure only kids sit in the first two rows, no one is saving seats and arranging handicap seating if needed. STAGE CREW - You will be responsible for moving set pieces during the show. You will be needed every night during tech week rehearsals.
